E-Learning as An Assistant Alternative to Teaching in Algerian Universities in the Time of the Covid-19 Pandemic

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has led to a trend towards a new form of education represented in e-learning, which is considered a new method of learning based on virtual reality and an alternative or auxiliary means to enable it to complement the established programs in teaching, especially in the time of the Covid-19 pandemic, as all educational institutions in developed countries have started using e-learning before the pandemic and at a high rate in its time, and the University of Algeria is among the institutions that have adopted it as an alternative and complementary option for physical education since March 12, 2020 to the present day this..

The aim of the research is: to Learn about the new method of education based on virtual reality, and how to benefit from it in the Algerian university in teaching as an alternative or auxiliary means to enable it to complement the established programs in teaching, especially in the time of the Covid-19 pandemic..

 The result is:  the need to draw future visions for the philosophy of education related to the employment of information and communication technology and its uses in all areas of the education system in general and in universities, especially in the time of the Covid 19 pandemic.
