The Impact of Governance on Economic Growth: A Case Study of North African Countries -Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco- (2000-2017)

Abstract
This study aimed to find the relationship between governance and economic growth in North African countries (Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco). Which relied on GDP data at constant prices of the US dollar as a dependent variable and measure of economic growth for the sample countries, and on some indicators of governance as independent variables using Panel- VECM, and the study has found a positive impact in the long run with regard to the indicators of governance studied on economic growth, where The study was based on the fact that economic growth increases and develops whenever the governance indicators improve, and in the end the research concluded that the studied governance indicators do not cause economic growth in the short term but only in the long term.
