Abstract

    The study aimed to investigate the guiding methods aimed at developing the self-concept of physically handicapped students used by the school guidance and counseling counselors in the secondary schools of the State of M'sila in the light of Bandura's self-efficacy theory and Rogers' self-theory. The study came to the conclusion that the guidance and counseling advisors adopted methods for developing the self-concept that combine what the two theories came up with, especially those related to the development of positive aspects and creating the appropriate climate for the physically handicapped student to integrate and adapt within the school environment.
